Wyeth/Pfizer has raised the price on Prevnar13 for orders placed after November 30th and shipped after December 2nd. We recommend carefully reviewing your vaccine inventory before the end of this month. Check inventory not only on Prevnar13 but also on the Merck vaccines Recombivax HB (HepB pediatric) and Vaqta (HepA adult) since the pricing increases on these products at the end of November as well. Purchase whatever supply of Prevnar13 as you can at the old pricing since the change in pricing is up 12.5%!
The other Merck vaccines to carefully inventory are Gardasil (HPV), MMRII, ProQuad (MMRV), Pneumovax23 (PPSV) and Varivax. Although the price increase on these vaccines is across the board, affecting everyone, it will not impact MPPG purchasing group members until December 28th.
