The first human trials on the Zika vaccine are set to begin phase 1 before the end of the year. This DNA vaccine is developed in collaboration by Gene One and Inovio.
NIAID, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious disease has a Zika vaccine in development that should be cleared by the FDA to begin human trials soon as well.
No doubt the world is looking forward to promising efficacy results from this research and ultimately to prevention of this destructive disease. Read more
