This case cohort study published yesterday in Pediatrics provides more scientific evidentiary support of human life being protected through influenza vaccination. This research demonstrates how children and adolescent lives in particular are protected. Laboratory confirmed influenza-associated pediatric deaths and vaccination status were analyzed from 2010 through 2014. Influenza vaccination was found to be associated with reducing pediatric deaths.
