A report on this topic was published in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine back in March and shared by CIDRAP. Although some important gains have been made globally in the fight against TB, it is still one of the top 10 killers. The report authors urge appropriate diligence;
“Addressing drug-resistant tuberculosis requires an urgent and concerted effort to manage the disease and prevent onward transmission with sustained research to develop and assess new tools.”
