California’s Immunization law, SB 277 is currently in effect. With back-to-school physicals well underway, the vast majority of students will be appropriately immunized. Fortunately, the risk of infection now will be reduced for those who are medically unable to receive certain vaccines. On this rare occasion when patients are impacted by contraindications, here is some information physicians need so their patients in this category can attend school.
