Meningitis? A, C, Y, & W135…..are covered in currently licensed vaccine MENACTRA. Not B though, not yet. The recent death of the Drexel University student due to Neisseria Meningitidis is a tragedy that hopefully will be something we can avoid soon. Those parents with a college student, on any campus, no doubt are anxious for US licensure of the serogroup B vaccine. Perhaps it may be worth a drive during Spring Break up to Canada, where this vaccine is already approved?….Hum…. Read here.
