The study published in Pediatrics shows a 95.3% reduction of Streptococcus pneumonia in children aged 3 to 36months who were vaccinated with the 13-valent conjugated pneumococcal vaccine ( PCV13 – trade name, Prevnar13 ). Over 57,000 blood cultures were collected and evaluated for bacteremia rates from September 1, 1998 to August 31, 2014.
